They share the planet with us. Or, sometimes, they just inhabit our imagination.
Mondo Fauna is a group invitational exhibition celebrating the animal kingdom in all its forms—from the familiar and domestic to the surreal and fantastical. This collection brings together a diverse array of West Coast artists to explore our deep, complex, and often whimsical connection to the creatures we live alongside (and those we dream up).
This exhibition is more than a visual celebration of life; it is a benefit for Muttville Senior Dog Rescue.
Exhibition Sales: A portion of all proceeds from the general exhibition will also be donated to support senior dog rescue and adoption efforts.

In The Art of Code Switching, Donald Hershman presents a compelling new body of work that examines the intricate intersections of identity, language, and culture. Through his signature lens, Hershman invites viewers to reflect on the lived experience of “code-switching”—the nuanced and often subconscious act of adapting one’s voice, behavior, or expression to navigate various social environments.
The collection serves as a visual exploration of how we move through the world, the masks we wear, and the resilience required to remain authentic while bridging multiple social spaces.
In collaboration with the City of Mountain View Downtown, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts Committees, we invite you to a special reception celebrating the exhibition. This event will feature light refreshments and a moderated discussion with the artist, offering an intimate look into his creative process and the themes of identity and culture present in the work.
The exhibition is hosted in the lobby and gallery spaces of the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. It is open to the public during normal center hours and during scheduled performances from January 27th through March 9th.

Celebrate the launch of the exhibition with the artists, jurors, and the Petaluma community.
“Americana” has long served as a reflection of everyday life and culture—from small-town iconography and handmade crafts to iconic design movements and popular imagery.
In this special anniversary exhibition, artists reexamine this broad theme by juxtaposing the old with the new. By honoring timeless motifs while offering fresh perspectives, Americana Reimagined explores what these symbols mean to us today and how they continue to shape our cultural identity.
We are honored to have the exhibition curated by a distinguished panel of Bay Area experts:
Donna Seager | Donna Seager Fine Arts & Artists’ Books
Richard Neill | Multimedia Artist and Film Curator
Simon Corwin | Petaluma Artist and Jewelry Designer

In URBAN ABSTRACTION, Don Hershman brings the unseen into focus—reframing the overlooked industrial details of the cityscape as striking works of abstraction. Through a series of 19 meticulously crafted paintings on canvas and wood panel, Hershman transforms fragments of urban life—pavement cracks, garage doors, graffiti textures, and aging building facades—into rich visual compositions that blur the line between the literal and the abstract.
Using pencil, ink, and acrylic, Hershman isolates and elevates these raw details, creating a dialogue between material surface and aesthetic form. What might otherwise fade into the background of daily life becomes the foreground—magnified, reframed, and reimagined. Each painting encourages viewers to not only appreciate its constructed beauty but also to recognize the source: a familiar echo of the environments we move through every day.
By bringing the city’s visual language into the gallery, URBAN ABSTRACTION invites us to reconsider how we define art, how we observe our surroundings, and how beauty often lives in plain sight—just waiting to be noticed.
